Another Round

Well we have reached another tricky point with the house. We got a call from our realtor and he informed us that the bank/sellers we are working with do not want to pay any of the closing costs and they want us to pay them. Now, this would probably be normal and expected except for the fact that when we originally made our offer we spoke with the sellers and agreed to offer more than the asking price if they would pay closing costs, to which they agreed. So as you can probably assume I was not pleased when I received this information. So I did a lot of talking and reminding of our initial discussions, and that the house needed quite a bit of work and finally told them that I would pay half of the closing costs and not a cent more or I was walking. So, our realtor told them our offer and they are going to figure it all out and let us know what is going on. It is starting to get a bit crazy!! I am trying to have patience but patience can be a thing a struggle with and it has already been 5 months. I know it will all work out like it is supposed to though. Heavenly Father knows what's up so I just need to remember that.

On a happier note I have some pictures of my fingernails to post.

As you can see there is actually some white showing for the first time in a very very long time. They still have awhile to go before they look like normal people, but I am on my way haha! Let's just hope this house doesn't have me back to biting until bleeding!! :)

What The Hail!?

These last two days have been crazy! On Saturday I worked the late shift, so I left for work around 12:35 in the afternoon. When I got into the car I realized that the gas light was on and I could not remember for how long it had been on. But, I didn't want to be late to work so I decided that I would get gas on my way home. Of course when I eventually got off I decided that I could make it to the gas station near Amanda's parents if I just went straight there. I was wrong. The car started to act funny as I was coming up on the Charleston exit, so I decided to pull off there and get some gas. Unfortunately the car only made it to the exit light before it completely shut off. So I rocked back and forth to give the car a little momentum and luckily I was able to coast to the Red Rock Casino parking lot and call Amanda for help haha! Her and Devin brought me some gas and all was good! I am actually quite excited that I can actually say I drove car until it ran completely out of gas. :)

I finished registering for classes (which are somehow ridiculously more expensive every semester by the way) and I can't believe how long I have been going to school and still don't even have an Associates degree! I guess that is what happens when you work full time and go to school full time for a double major and have a family haha! The good news is I will finish both my Economics and Japanese Associate degrees next spring. Then I have to decide if I want to work for a bit and try and get all of my licenses or go to UNLV and finish my schooling up. I guess I will just worry about that when the time comes. After I finished all of that we went to my parents for dinner, and hung out there for awhile which is always fun. After dinner we came home and Amanda started to study for a test she has and I decided that I was going to go to bed early for once. I was almost asleep when I heard thunder and a few minutes later I heard rain falling outside, a lot of rain. I didn't mind that at all because it is actually quite a soothing sound. However, after a few minutes the rain started to sound like it was rocks falling on the house. So I got up and to my surprise it was hailing! Not small hail either hail the size of marbles, some even bigger. It was awesome, not only was it a flash flood but it also was hailing! Devin and I could not resist the child in us and we ran out into the street to mess around. We walked up to the main street to see how much it was flooding and the entire street looked like a river! We stayed there for awhile and cheered on any cars that tried to forge the water before we headed back to dry off and change.

Our little adventure of course eliminated any amount of tired in me, so we decided to watch some good old TV. I am glad however that I did not fall asleep because I got to feel Kynzli move for the first time ever! Amanda was sitting next to me on the couch and she told me that she had been feeling the baby move for the last week or so. I asked her if she was sure, and she told me at first she thought it was just her stomach digesting or something but, she had realized that was not it and that it was the baby. Then she told me that she could feel it moving right then! I of course was ecstatic and wanted to feel as well. So, Amanda took my hand and put it on her belly where she could feel it, and all of the sudden I felt a little jolt! It was amazing I felt my baby moving! Everyone was laughing at me because I was so dumbfounded by the movement, but I didn't care I was on cloud nine! Now, I know that in the scheme of things feeling your baby move is maybe not the biggest event ever, but to me it is the greatest thing ever so far haha! I am so ready for it to be November already!

Update!!

So it has been a bit of time since I have last updated this blog of mine so let me get everything up to speed.

First off our house is coming along. We found out last week that they should be reviewing our offer and accepting/countering/declining our offer this week or next. It has me somewhat stressed out. I really want this house to close and for us to get it. I know that getting it will bring its own set of stresses but that is okay, I'll take them. I really hope they just accept our offer and we can get escrow started.

Kynzli is doing well...I think haha. I can't exactly ask her how things are ;), but Amanda said she thinks she felt her move today, but she is not sure. I hope she gets to moving a lot soon so I can feel her moving :) We have started looking for baby furniture, and have designs for baby rooms and we have some pretty cool stuff picked out. Now we just need a house to get it all done!!

The Mavala Stop has been working like a gem! My finger nails are growing pretty long. I can actually scratch not just rub my itches now, but sometimes it can be dangerous because if I am not paying attention I can scratch myself to bleeding haha! My fingernails still have a long way to go before they are like normal peoples but, I am glad that I am finally breaking this habit. I won't lie it is still very difficult to resist the urge to bite them (sometimes I think the death taste is the only thing that stops me) but it has been getting easier with time. I will try and get up some pictures soon.

So for the last few months I have been saving up for a road bike that I want to purchase. I am hoping that if I can get a bike and start doing that along with some other exercise I can start to lose a few pounds. And by a few I mean like 20 haha. Since I have got home from my mission I have gained almost 35 pounds (and trust me it isn't muscle) which is saddening. I can't even fit into half...more than half of my clothes anymore! When I see old pictures from when I first was home I always think, "Wow I need to get into that kind of shape again!" But, I just have not had the time/drive to do it lately. I almost have enough money to get my bike though so I am excited and hope that will help me to get back into good shape. Maybe I will try and start a workout routine for the next few weeks before I get the bike but we shall see.

Well this is my update.

End.
